SEWAGE TREATMENT SYSTEMS

Sewage water systems is the most important system that needs to be in place otherwise it can cause contamination of water releasing deadly toxins that can be hazardous for the body. Sewage treatment is the process of eliminating contaminants from industrial or municipal wastewater, containing mainly sewage plus wastewater (grey or black water). Physical, chemical, and biological processes are used to remove contaminants and produce treated wastewater or treated effluent, which is safe enough for release into the environment. A by-product of sewage treatment is a semi-solid waste or slurry, called sewage sludge. The sludge must undergo further treatment before being suitable for disposal or application to land.

Moving Bed Bioreactor (MBBR)

MBBR is a type of wastewater treatment process that was first invented by prof. Hallvard Odegaard at Norwegian university of science and technology in the late 1980’s. MBBR is the most commonly used technology for sewage treatment. It utilizes carrier media for biological growth and for biological degradation. The MBBR system consists of an activated sludge aeration system where the sludge is collected in recycled plastic carriers. These carriers have an internal large surface for optimal contact water, air and bacteria. It has compact units with small size. It can increase the capacity of the treatment. Solid waste material will be removed completely. MBBR have improved settling characteristics and operate at higher suspended biomass. It has many benefits such as, concentrations resulting in long sludge retention times, enhanced process stability, low head loss, less area required, resilient to toxic shocks, no filter channeling, no need of periodic backwashing, reduced sludge production and no problems with sludge bulking. Experiments with moving bed bioreactors have also shown that these systems achieve partial removal of organic micro-pollutants from the wastewater. These come with design, installation, service maintenance and one-year warranty. The AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) can be renewed annually.

Submerged Aerobic Fixed Film (SAFF)

SAFF technology is a procedure used to lessen the organic loading of residential and commercial sewage or waste water, and in doing so will cut the biological oxygen demand (BOD) and a significant quantity of suspended solids (SS) which if otherwise in crude form would contaminate river and sea outfalls, in other words it is used to substantially improve effluent expulsion quality. As with outmoded sewage treatment, SAFF technology uses three stages of dealing with commercial and residential sewage or wastewater. No sludge re-circulation is required to maintain mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) as in the case of conventional aeration system. It can be designed to any size to deal with larger flow and loads. Fine bubble diffused aeration used generally reduces the energy requirements as compared to surface aerators. Its modular design allows easy installation. The tank does not need to be drained for access to the diffuser or media. SAFF system takes higher shock loads without reducing the plant performance because of large quantity of biomass available in the reactor. SAFF also supports low sludge generation, low odor and low visual impact. Solids retention time (SRT) can vary based on in-fluent flow without negative process impact. Its most imperative feature is its modular expand-ability and is less susceptible to upsets due to flow variations. It is a simple, yet sophisticated design with simple maintenance requirements. This package includes design, installation, service maintenance with one-year warranty and the AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) can be renewed annually.

Grey Water Treatment System

Grey water is all the wastewater generated in households or office buildings from streams without fecal contamination, i.e. all streams except for the wastewater from toilets. Grey water treatment is removal of unwanted suspended material from the grey water collected and disinfecting the same to make it useful for toilet flushing or irrigation or discharging to sewer lines according to the local laws applicable. With proper treatment grey water can be put to good use. These uses include water for laundry and toilet flushing, and irrigation of plants. Treated grey water can be used to irrigate both food and nonfood producing plants. The nutrients in the grey water (such as phosphorus and nitrogen) provide an excellent food source for these plants. With the use of grey water recycling system, the amount of water that was previously being used can be brought down to half. Water is known to be an essential asset for us. It is an essential resource which need to be conserved for future generations and for this purpose recycling grey water is the best option. It incurs less cost and saves money. In routine we are billed heavily regarding the usage of water, but now it can change by incorporating grey water recycling system your water bill will be cut down to half. Heated water integrates thermal energy and this thermal energy goes down the drain each time we use water bathing, washing or utilize hot water for various other things. Grey water recycling system uses the thermal energy to warm new approaching cold water. This implies that its use reduces the measure of energy used up to 60%. Sewage entering conduits untreated can be avoided with the use of grey water recycling system, depending upon the location that you reside in. A few urban communities are working hard in order to meet the demands of their sewage system. As a result, the untreated wastewater is seen to settle down in places where no one needs it. Changes and progressions that you make by utilizing a grey water system can have great advantages for both you and the nature. Recycled grey water integrates supplements that are supposed to be good for the growth of your plants which also makes grey water environmentally friendly. So, make use of recycled grey water in order to water these plants and to enhance water preservation changes, a building that is equipped with an approach to diminish water utilization into half will inevitably give value back. It requires simple maintenance and comes with design, installation, service maintenance and one-year warranty. The AMC (annual maintenance contract) can be renewed annually.
